WHO WE ARE
Registered Massage Therapist
Michelle enjoys the ever changing challenges in her career as a Registered Massage Therapist with the team of professionals at Kneaded Care. She successfully completed her studies at the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy (CCMH) in Kitchener, Ontario. In June 2009, Michelle received her registration and is a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario.
During her studies at CCMH, she participated in a research project studying the benefits of massage therapy on musicians. It was evident that musicians suffered repetitive chronic strain injuries for which massage therapy proved very beneficial.
Michelle also completed a Trimester's Pregnancy Massage Course at the Women's College Hospital in Toronto, Ontario and experienced the positive results of massage therapy for pregnant women both during pregnancy and labour.
Michelle is a firm believer that massage therapy can enhance your quality of life. “Seeing is believing,” holds some truth for her: She worked a 12 hour night shift in a factory where good ergonomics were not consistently achieved. After suffering with back and neck pain, she was encouraged to give massage therapy a try. After just one treatment, her pain was minimized considerably and her mobility was greatly improved making her realize the viability of this treatment for stress, chronic pain management and overall better health.
Michelle enjoys expressing herself through art and music. She creates both sculpture and paintings using mixed media and has a developing interest in photography. Michelle has a very eclectic taste in music. This has instilled in her an interest in treating musicians and the unique injuries they incur. Michelle is an animal lover surrounding herself with her 14 year old cat and her loveable mixed breed puppy.
